The experience

What is vibroacoustic therapy?

Vibroacoustic therapy is a private session on a padded bed: music plays while low-frequency vibration moves through the bed, so you feel the music as well as hear it.

You stay dressed and simply rest, and some guests fall asleep. Our sound baths are group classes; this session is just you, in a private room.

Questions

About vibroacoustic therapy

What is vibroacoustic therapy?

It's a session on a padded vibroacoustic bed: music plays while low-frequency sound vibration, roughly 30 to 120 Hz, moves through the bed, so you feel the music as well as hear it.

How does it feel?

Most guests describe a gentle, even vibration they feel through the bed while the music plays. Some say it feels like floating.

How is it different from a sound bath?

Our sound baths are group classes: you lie down while a practitioner plays crystal singing bowls, gongs, and other instruments. Vibroacoustic therapy is a private session: you lie fully dressed on a padded bed while music plays and low-frequency vibration moves through the bed.

Your session

What should I wear?

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best. You'll lie fully clothed on a padded bed, so dress as you would for a meditation session.

Can I fall asleep?

Yes, and many guests do. It's perfectly fine to fall asleep during the session; you can simply rest with the music and gentle vibration.

How often should I come?

There is no required cadence. Some guests book occasionally, while others come more often. Start with one visit and choose what feels right from there.

Safety

Is it safe?

Yes, for most people. However, it's not recommended during pregnancy or for those with pacemakers. If you have any health concerns, consult with your healthcare provider first.
