Benefits

What red light has been studied for

Red and near-infrared light has been studied for the look of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin texture.

Most of that research used LED devices on the face over several weeks of regular sessions, and studies of full-body beds are few.

  • Light from every side

Red and near-infrared light surround the whole body, with no panel to move.
  • Back to your day

The session is non-invasive, so you can go straight on with your day.

Results vary by individual. Red light therapy is not a medical treatment.

Questions

About red light

What is red light therapy?

Red light therapy uses red and near-infrared light at specific wavelengths. At Sacred Society, guests lie in a full-body TheraLight 360 bed for a quiet, non-invasive light session in a private room.

What's the difference between red and near-infrared light?

Red light (633 nm) is the deep red glow you can see. Near-infrared light (810, 850, and 940 nm) is just beyond what the eye can see. The TheraLight 360 uses all four wavelengths.

What is different about a full-body red light bed?

A full-body bed gives you broad, even coverage without needing to reposition a small panel or lamp. Our TheraLight 360 surrounds the body with red and near-infrared light in a private, staff-supported setting.

What are the benefits of red light therapy?

Red and near-infrared light has been studied for the look of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin texture, mostly with LED devices used on the face over several weeks. It is a wellness service, not a medical treatment, and results vary by individual.

Your session

What does red light therapy feel like?

Most guests describe the session as gentle and warm. You may feel mild warmth on the skin. Individual experiences vary.

Is it hot?

The bed creates gentle warmth, not intense heat. If you need a break or feel too warm, our team can help you adjust.

How long is a red light therapy session?

The light runs for 20 minutes. Arrive 10 minutes early, and allow a few minutes after to get dressed.

What should I wear?

Come in comfortable clothes. In the private room, you undress as far as you're comfortable before you lie in the bed.

Is eye protection required?

Yes. The light is bright, so we give you eye protection to wear for the whole session.

Safety

Is red light therapy safe?

Red light therapy is generally considered non-invasive and well tolerated when used as directed. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. If you are pregnant, please avoid sessions or consult your clinician first. Sessions are not recommended if you have active cancer or photosensitivity, should be avoided if you use photosensitizing medications, and are not suitable after recent eye surgery. If you have other health concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before booking.

Are there any side effects?

Most guests feel gentle warmth on the skin, and some notice mild redness that fades. If anything feels uncomfortable, let us know. If you have a health concern, check with your healthcare provider before you book.

Can I book if I have sensitive skin?

Sessions are not recommended if you have photosensitivity, and should be avoided if you use photosensitizing medications. Otherwise, check with your dermatologist or healthcare provider first, especially if you use a skin product that makes you more sensitive to light. Tell us when you arrive and we'll walk you through the session.

Booking

Can I try one session before buying a series?

Yes. If it's your first visit, book the first session, then choose a series later if you'd like to come back. The starter series suits guests who already plan to come back a few times.

How often should I come?

There's no set schedule. Some guests come once to try it, and others come back often. If you're not sure, start with one session and decide from there.

Can I change or cancel?

To change or cancel an appointment, contact the studio at (720) 706-6509.

Where is the studio, and where do I park?

We're in the Highlands at 3410 W 38th Ave, Denver, CO 80211. Free street parking available on 38th Ave and surrounding streets. Small public lot if you turn in by the US Bank.

Hours & Directions

Can I combine red light with other services?
