Sacred Society

Our Story · Denver Highlands

A threshold, not a destination.

Sacred Society is a contemporary sanctuary for breath, body, and being — a house for quiet attention, gentle movement, sound, and shared ritual in the heart of the Highlands.

Plant-filled pockets to pause, connect, and simply be.

The Beginning

A meditation center cafe became a house of practice.

Sacred Society was co-founded by Barbie Beltran and Jose Guerrero after years of imagining a different kind of gathering place in Denver: part cafe, part meditation space, part sanctuary for people who wanted a calmer relationship with themselves.

The idea took shape during the pandemic, when the need for places of peace, reflection, and connection felt especially clear. Guerrero brought the eye of a chef and host; Beltran brought a devotion to contemplative practice, beauty, and personal growth.

What opened in the Highlands is not a single-purpose studio. It is a layered house: music, body-based classes, sound sessions, red light, vibroacoustic experiences, quiet seating, a beverage menu, and a welcome desk for anyone who is not sure where to begin.

What Guides Us

A calmer way to gather.

  • 01Attention before output.
  • 02Ritual without pressure.
  • 03Technology in service of presence.
  • 04A welcoming first step for the curious.

Sound and Stillness

Why sound sits at the center.

Public profiles of Sacred Society often notice the sound first: the ambient music, the Zen Garden, the instruments, the way tone changes the room. That is intentional. Sound is part of the architecture, not a background detail.

Group sound baths, private sound sessions, and vibroacoustic sessions offer different ways into that listening field — whether you are joining a class, booking time alone, or pairing sound with another practice.
